More About Ted
Ted received his B.A. from Dartmouth
College in 1983 and M.S. from the University of New Hampshire in 1985.
He joined Phi Sigma Psi in 1980, where he served many positions,
including Social Chairman, Rush Chairman and House Spiritual Leader.
In 1986 Ted joined Apollo Computer. He stayed two years after the
takeover by Hewlett-Packard, and in 1990 started working for himself so
that he could devote more time to speaking.
Along the way, Ted helped start a
successful Internet company, was the CTO at an offshore outsourcing
startup, and has written three books. Ted also has an ongoing software
company in Hong Kong, The Arial Group, which he refers to as his “get
rich slow scheme.”
Ted is a frequent speaker at conferences and other events. His passion
is speaking to and helping others, which is apparent to everyone who
knows him.
"Ted always
wows the crowd. I look forward to having Ted back again and again.”
- Professor A. James Bravar, Duke
University
"Serious
topics dressed up to have fun”
- Susie Monagan, Manager of Audience
Development & Special Projects, Ithaca College
Ted lives in Durham, New Hampshire with his wife Margaret and three children Jamie, Amelia, and Stacie.
Durham is about 25 minutes drive from Maine, Massachusetts, and the ocean. It's in a rural area and often there are deer and wild turkeys in the yard, yet it's only about an hour from Boston and fourty minutes from the Manchester, New Hampshire airport. When the leaves fall off the trees in the fall, Ted can see his nearest neighbor's house.
Ted and Margaret's children are pictured below. The big lobster is about 8 pounds and overwhelmed son Jamie! He did however eat the smaller lobster, about 2 pounds.
